Alcohol Blow Tube
The crystals in the tester will become white or ash-colored at an alcohol level of 02% and .08% or greater. (The .02% and the .08% tester is designed to report even trace levels of alcohol, and therefore does not report intermediate levels of alcohol.)A bluish cast indicates levels at or above that designated for the tester. In short, a bluish cast indicates a level of alcohol at or above the indicated amount on the tester. ( Remember, the tester indicates the presence of ANY alcohol with white or ash-colored crystals.)
